Van Nuys Boulevard at Roscoe Boulevard in Panorama City is the most dangerous intersection in Los Angeles this year,  according to City Officials.  A total of 12 collisions have occurred within the first two months of the year.  The combination of multiple shopping centers in the area (Panorama City Mall, Wal-Mart, CVS pharmacy) and heavy pedestrian traffic contribute to the high collision counts at this intersection.

Local San Fernando Valley cops say the intersection in Panorama City is typical of areas with high collision counts, but efforts are under way to curb the behavior of pedestrians entering the crosswalk when the red light is blinking.
